Where the money goes
The server is a free community project, and hosting is its one recurring cost. Nobody can withdraw the hosting credit to a personal account.
- The 24/7 dedicated server and its bandwidth.
- Automatic world backups and grief rollbacks.
- DDoS protection.
- Server management and scheduled restarts.
- Automatic resource and behavior pack delivery.
Donations are non-refundable under the host’s terms. If a payment goes wrong, talk to staff with your receipt instead of opening a dispute.
How to donate
- Open the donation page Go to bisecthosting.com/donate/betafied-0b79f521. The page shows the server name, its donation board and the accepted payment methods.
- Choose an amount Pick one of the preset amounts or enter your own. The first perk rank starts at $5 lifetime.
- Type your gamertag The form asks for an in-game name. Capitalization does not matter; spelling does. That field is the only thing tying a payment to your account.
- Pay through BisectHosting Checkout is handled entirely by the host. The server never sees your card details.

play.betafied.netand run/far:perks. It shows your total, your rank and what is left before the next one.
A donation is matched to the account whose gamertag matches the name on the form. A typo still counts on the public board, but it cannot be credited to you until staff fix it. Message the Discord with your receipt and the name you meant to use.
The server reads the host’s public donation feed every two minutes, so a rank usually lands within a couple of minutes of payment. A new donation is thanked in chat and mirrored to Discord, and online donors are re-checked on the next poll. A feed outage leaves your total at the last good figure.
Ranks
Six ranks, each unlocked by a lifetime donation total. You do not have to give the whole amount at once: every donation adds to the same total, and the rank follows the total.
| Rank | Lifetime donations | Perks |
|---|---|---|
| Hero | $5 | Custom nickname and chat-name colour |
| Legend | $10 | Hero perks and Legend prefix |
| Mystic | $15 | Previous perks, custom title, and join/leave messages |
| Donator | $30 | Previous perks and Donator prefix |
| Donator+ | $60 | Previous perks and Donator+ prefix |
| Donator++ | $120 | Previous perks and Donator++ prefix |
Every rank carries its own coloured prefix in chat and on the player list, and ranks stack. A Mystic still has the nickname and colour from Hero.
The top three are recognition: a bigger badge, no extra commands, no advantage in the game, no different treatment from staff. Staff ranks display above every donor rank.
Ranks do not expire while the donations behind them stand. /far:perks shows how much is left before the next one.
What each perk does
Nickname
/far:nick <name> sets the name other players see in chat. It appears with a ~ in front, so a player called Steve who picks Builder shows as ~Builder and nobody mistakes it for a real gamertag. The Discord mirror keeps both: ~Builder (Steve).
- At most 16 characters, the same cap as a gamertag.
- Not another player’s gamertag.
- No rank words, colour codes or control characters.
- Empty names are refused rather than trimmed.
Commands and tab completion still use your real gamertag. /far:nick off clears the nickname.
Chat colour
/far:color <colour> tints your display name in chat. Sixteen colours, by name: black, dark_blue, dark_green, dark_aqua, dark_red, dark_purple, gold, gray, dark_gray, blue, green, aqua, red, light_purple, yellow and white. Only the name is coloured; what you type stays white. /far:color off resets it.
Rank prefix
Your highest donor rank shows as a coloured prefix in chat and on the player list, and it changes as you climb. It sits above earned ranks such as Trusted, so earning Trusted never removes it. Staff ranks display above every donor rank.
Title
/far:title <text> adds a line above your character, under your clan tag: Builder, Explorer, Redstone Addict, whatever fits. Titles are capped at 24 characters and formatting is stripped, so the text is what survives. /far:title off removes it.
Join and leave lines
Two commands replace the announcements other players see when you arrive or leave.
| Command | Description |
|---|---|
/far:joinmsg <text> | Set a custom join message |
/far:leavemsg <text> | Set a custom leave message |
/far:joinmsg off | Reset your join message |
/far:leavemsg off | Reset your leave message |
Put {name} where your display name should go, so {name} has entered the world! replaces the usual announcement. Lines are capped at 64 characters after the name goes in, and a custom line never replaces the welcome a first-time player gets.
Your settings survive a lapse. If a total is corrected or a payment reversed, the nickname, colour and lines stop showing while the rank is gone, then come back if you regain it.
The monthly Whale
Separate from the lifetime ranks, the biggest donor of each calendar month wins the Whale trophy: a permanent prefix and a permanent place on the server’s Whale list. It sits alongside your lifetime rank rather than replacing it.
- Only donations made inside the month count.
- The highest monthly total wins.
- A tie goes to whoever reached that total first.
- The award lands after the month closes.
- The first month of tracking is skipped, so a full month of donations builds before anyone is named.
/far:perks shows this month’s leader and the last winner.
Checking your record
Run /far:perks to print five things: your lifetime total, your rank, the amount left before the next rank, this month’s Whale leader, and the most recent winner. If the feed has not been read yet, the command says so instead of reporting zero.
Offline donors get their rank on their next join. Whale awards are tracked apart from lifetime totals, so one can change without the other.
When a donation does not show up
Most cases come down to the name typed at checkout, or a payment the feed has not picked up yet.
| Symptom | What to do |
|---|---|
| No rank after donating | Wait a couple of minutes and run /far:perks, then check the gamertag on your receipt against your real one. Matching ignores case, not typos. |
| Donated under an old gamertag | Ask staff on Discord to merge the old record into your current name. |
| Donated before ranks existed | Totals are seeded from the public supporter board. If you are not on it, staff can set your total with proof of payment. |
| Total looks too low | Only donations the feed can see count. Send staff the receipt and they will check the record. |
| Rank disappeared | A reversal or a corrected total removes the rank. Ask staff to review it if you think that is a mistake. |
For any of these, the Discord server is the place to ask.
Is donating required?
No. Betafied is free to play, and that is not going to change. Homes, claims, shops, clans and every other feature work the same for everyone, donor or not.
Donor ranks carry no extra items, permissions, combat advantage or special treatment from staff. They exist to thank the people who keep the server paid for.
Donate through the BisectHosting page and nowhere else. Staff will never ask you to send money to them directly for perks, so anyone who does is not staff. Report it.
Old paid ranks
The old investor, premium, clown and vip ranks have been retired and replaced by this ladder. None of them carried permissions, so anyone holding one was moved to member. Earlier donations still count: when the ladder seeds from the supporter board, a matching rank is applied automatically on your next join. If yours is missing, ask staff and they will look at the record.
