What is Betafied?

Betafied is a total conversion addon for Minecraft Bedrock Edition that strips modern features from Bedrock to restore Minecraft Java Edition Beta 1.7.3.

Beta 1.7.3 was the final release before hunger, sprinting, and combat cooldowns arrived. Nights were dangerous, resource gathering was deliberate, and the soundtrack played over quiet landscapes.

Under the hood: Rather than modifying underlying 3D density noise, Betafied achieves its vintage world feel entirely through custom Bedrock biomes and surface modifiers: restoring Beta biome noise, classic surface rules such as gravel beaches, alpha foliage colormaps, and original tree features.
