Stone

Stone forms the primary subterranean terrain. Mining it with a pickaxe drops cobblestone.

Obtaining

Mined with any pickaxe. Without a pickaxe it drops nothing. Silktouch does not exist in Beta 1.7.3, so stone always crushes to cobblestone.

Natural stone generates in terrain. To build with smooth stone, smelt cobblestone in a furnace.
